Launching the 50,000 appeal

appeal launch

WE are pleased to have been able to start off the appeal for laparoscopic equipment for cancer patients with a cheque for 10,000. The target for the fund is 50,000 which will buy equipment to detect and treat cancers.

Here, Peter Andrews, our former Chairman (right), presents the cheque to consultants Mr Selvasekar (left) and Mr Khan (second left).

Also pictured are members of the League of Friends, together with Tom and Margaret Butler of the Leighton Hospital Bowel Cancer Group, who are also supporting the appeal, and MacMillan Nurse Specialist, Heather Hughes.
